Architect

Spencer Stekoll

Spencer was born and raised in Juneau and joined MRV in 2005 shortly after completing his undergraduate education in Oregon where he studied sculpture and physics. Prior to his graduation he spent two years at University of Hawaii, and a year on scholarship at University of Otago in New Zealand. After verifying his passion for Architecture, he ventured to Colorado to complete his Master’s program with special certification in sustainable design.

Having traveled extensively throughout his life, Spencer is aware of the unique and varying elements required to form successful public spaces in different climates, both political and geographical. From growing up in Southeast Alaska and extensive work on multiple cultural projects, Spencer has developed a specialty in Native Alaskan design and projects with cultural sensitivity. Spencer is a strong contributor to MRV aesthetic design and quest for sustainable building practices.
