Situated among the stone outcroppings of a private island in Sitka, the residence features stunning water and volcano views, interior exposed natural stone, and board formed concrete. Forms are inspired by Japanese woodwork and the theme is carried throughout the residence and landscaping including arched glulam vaulted ceilings and custom burnt shou shugi ban cedar siding. Construction is currently underway with expected completion early in 2020.
