Keyaira Mumford, Interior Design Associate

Keyaira is an interior designer with a passion for sustainable design that balances the wellbeing of users and the environment. She is a recent graduate of Washington State University (WSU). While at school she won the NEWH International Green Voice Design Competition as a Junior for her concept design of an adaptive re-use boutique hotel in downtown Vancouver. Keyaira also pursued several internships while in school including a summer internship at MRV. She was also involved in RCDI, a Rural Communities Design Initiative dedicated to breathing life back into small towns. Her final internship before returning to MRV, was at a design build firm in Seattle called Momentum where she gained experience on both the design team and the construction management team. Keyaira is always ready to take on big design challenges and her favorite part of being an interior designer is coming up with creative solutions to meet the clients needs and push design forward in sustainable and collaborative ways.

Keyaira grew up in Juneau and is happy to be home again. She thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to work in a community that she knows so well and be contributing to it in this unique way. When not at the office she enjoys hiking, mountain biking, fishing, skiing, and exploring the many adventures southeast Alaska has to offer.
