Kara’s passion as an Interior Designer isn’t so much the glitz and glam, but rather how spaces can impact and improve people’s lives. Kara enjoys going beyond basic building functions to create spaces that elicit pleasing experiences and emotions appropriate to each space. Whether it is creating a feeling of safety & privacy in a healthcare setting or a feeling of escape and relaxation in a hospitality environment, Kara pours her heart creating spaces that make a positive impact. Kara deeply appreciates connection to the natural environment and brings this influence indoors with biophilic design principles.

Kara joined MRV in 2023 as an Associate Interior Designer. She was born and raised in Juneau and has always loved living in Southeast. She graduated from Thunder Mountain High School and enjoys currently being a volunteer coach for the Thunder Mountain High School Dance team during the winter and summer seasons. Kara graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2022.

She enjoys the broad opportunities of working on a team in an architecture office. Kara is currently pursuing her NCIDQ certification.
